When a Mezu user generates a CashCode, a QR code will also be generated when the Giver selects "User not on Mezu?”.
To use the QR code:
- For iOS users who have software version 11 or higher, the camera is already enabled to scan QR codes. Just open the camera, position the phone over the QR code, and wait for the prompt to open Mezu in your browser.
- For other software versions or Android devices, you’ll need to download a QR code scanner app.
- After scanning the QR code, you’ll see a Mezu page where you’ll enter your mobile phone number to associate the payment amount to your account.
- Install the Mezu app and activate your account using the same phone number. The amount of the transaction will be applied to your balance when your account is verified.
If a QR code is not redeemed within 24 hours, the funds will be returned to the Giver. If you have redeemed the QR code and entered your phone number, you have 7 days to complete the verification of your account, otherwise, the funds will be returned to the Giver.
