Mezu occasionally run promotions that give you the opportunity to receive credits to your account. Credits are funds that you are able to give using Mezu, but cannot withdraw from Mezu. These promotions are triggered by certain events, such as, but not limited to, activating your account, inviting friends, withdrawing funds, sending or giving funds, etc.
Note: Receipt of funds for any of the promotions we may be running is subject to meeting the terms and conditions of the promotion.
Here's how you can redeem an active promo code:
If you are a new user:
- Locate the invitation/promo code you received by email, SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook, or using the QR Code given to you by a Mezu user;
- On that message, you'll have a link to download and install Mezu;
- Once you've installed Mezu and completed the on-boarding process, you'll be directed to the Give screen, which is the main screen of the app;
- You'll immediately be prompted with a notification at the top of the screen stating "Welcome to Mezu. Have an Invite or Promo code?";
- Tap on that notification and you'll be redirected to a screen where you can insert your code;
- Tap "Send" and you'll see a confirmation message.
If you are already a user:
- Go to "Menu" > "Redeem a Code";
- Insert your code;
- Tap "Send" and you'll get a confirmation message.
If you're having issues redeeming your code, please make sure that:
- You have typed the code correctly.
- You are not reusing the same code.
- Promo codes can only be used once. If you try to use the same code twice, you'll receive an error message.
- You are not using your own invite/promo code.
