After you install Mezu and set up your account, you can:
- Pay and Get Paid from people you don't know with a one-time code, in any country in which Mezu operates, without sharing your name or any other personal information with the other person.
- Use a MoneyBox to pay, tip, or donate to a service provider, friend, or group of friends using a single tap – again, without disclosing your personal information.
- Pay or Get Paid using a phone number or email address in your phone’s contact list. If your contact doesn’t have Mezu yet, you can extend an invite for them to download Mezu. You can also send money anonymously – use this option carefully, because the recipient won’t know who sent them money!
- Shoot a Flare to ask others to help you with your cause! This feature allows you to share a link to your social media and other platforms to ask others to contribute to a specific need you may have.
To begin using Mezu, start by creating an account on the app.
In order to Pay or Get Paid, you can either link your bank account or your debit card to your Mezu account. Transactions that you initiate will be deducted from your existing Mezu balance or will be charged directly from your linked default payment method when your Mezu balance is zero or too low to cover the amount you’re paying.
Mezu also lets you withdraw your balance, or set up an auto-withdraw rule to keep your balance at the amount you choose. You must have a linked bank account or debit card in order to withdraw. Keep in mind, withdrawals to your bank account may take several business days to process. You can also activate your MezuCard, a virtual debit card, that can be added to and used with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay. All your transactions are stored in the app in real-time, so you always have a record of them.
